Kids going to the gym

This is another post in the exercise series that will show you why you should exercise daily.

Some parents are scared in having their kids go to gym because of the misconception that their children will not grow up like their parents but instead become larger. This is not true. Getting the child the proper exercise will help him develop a fit body and prevent obesity which is common and susceptible in happening due to their age and tastes. A proper and supervised physical training by an experienced instructor and a well balanced lifestyle for kids will give them plenty of beneficial effects such as productive energy in any activity; improved motor abilities, balance and coordination; improved cardiovascular function and fitness level; prevent childhood risk factor like obesity, heart disease and diabetes.

There is an alarming number of children who is suffering from obesity due to unhealthy lifestyle. 25% of those kids are reported to spend most of their time just watching television while 50% of those are attributable to eating unhealthy food. This is supposed to be cardiovascular fitness, fitness training and healthy eating habits can help them.

Children may find exercise workouts boring but the parents and a good fitness professional can help the kids motivated by making them do interesting and different things. Repetitive tasks would easily bore them. It is advisable that it be taken in a slower pace. When it comes to resistance training, it must be appropriate to the age and development.

If you are after the welfare of your child and if you think that the kid is not having enough physical activity, it is best that you get him into a fitness program to keep him busy. It is also advisable that you accompany him and go train yourself to keep him motivated and interested.
